Before Your Surgery

A preoperative visit with Dr. Borkowski will be held approximately two weeks prior to your scheduled surgery. At this time Dr. Borkowski will review your surgery and answer any questions you may have. Your pre-operative photos will be taken. You will receive post surgical prescriptions that should be filled prior to your surgery date.

On one or two days prior to your surgery you will receive a call from the surgical in-take nurse. She will review your medical history labs, social history and any other pertinent information pertaining to you and your surgery. She will repeat any necessary instructions. If you have any further questions or concerns she will answer them or Dr. Borkowski will be contacted to clarify any last minute details.

On the day of your procedure your will be met by the patient coordinator who will complete the admission process. If you have not paid for your surgery financing will be completed. You will then be escorted to the pre-op room. Dr. Borkowski and the anesthesiologist will meet with you and discuss the procedure and anesthesia. They will address your concerns and questions. You will then be escorted to the operating suite for your procedure.
