Labiaplasty is the altering of the small lips, labia minora, and the large lips, labia majora, that comprise part of the vulva, the external genitalia. Although labiaplasty is considered synonymous with a reduction of the labia minor, it can also involve increasing the volume or size of those same structures. In certain cultures the labia minora are stretched to increase stimulation and aesthetic appearance. As women age the labia majora may lose volume, a problem that can be corrected with fat grafting. Most labial procedures involve the cautious reduction in the size of the labia minor. For added privacy these procedures are performed at our state licensed office based surgical center. As with all surgical procedures there are inherent risks and misconceptions about what the procedures can and cannot accomplish. That is why you will need a thorough evaluation and time to consider the options.
